Company Cars Policy

This Company Cars Policy has been designed for children’s homes to support full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the associated Children’s Homes Quality Standards, and relevant health and safety and driving legislation.

The policy provides clear, practical guidance for staff on the use, allocation and management of company vehicles for work purposes. It outlines requirements for driver eligibility, insurance, vehicle maintenance, safe driving standards, and reporting of accidents or incidents. The policy also sets out expectations for staff conduct, fuel usage, personal use, and record keeping, ensuring that vehicles are used safely, responsibly and in a way that protects the wellbeing of children, young people, staff and the public.
